Getting your business signs ready for Daylight Savings Time

Daylight saving time starts at the end of October every year and as night arrives sooner so do service calls for making repairs on signs.

Many businesses that are open from 8 to 5 or 6pm do not see their signs at 8 or 9pm when it has been still light outside and never see them lit. So once time changes then the lighted signs are now visible by business owners and most importantly patrons.

What to do now to make sure signs are ready for time change?

1. Stay late one night or drive by your business late or on weekend to see if all letters or signs are illuminated.

If my sign is out what are all of my options for repairs?

1. Signs are either neon illuminated or led illuminated or lamp illuminated and so a repair can be handled by one of our qualified licensed sign electricians.
2. If the sign is neon then the sign will most likely need a new piece of glass or wiring or a transformer.
3. If a sign is illuminated by LED modules then it will either be a loose wire or likely a bad power supply.
4. A fourth option is to have all neon or old LED’s replaced with new LED’s. New LED’s now come with 5-year manufacture warranty and have an estimate life of 11 years with continuous usage.
5. The last option would be to replace sign altogether. Our design team can provide a new look or update the logo or simply re-create your existing sign if still loved. Our in-house production team will then produce and our install team can remove old and recycle and then install new sign.
